Teaching in South Africa is not for the faint of heart. Dysfunctional national administration, lack of resources, social fracture are just a few of the daily obstacles challenging the vital work of equipping young people to build a sustainable future. We are piloting a programme of teacher enrichment which seeks to give hope and better equip teachers with skills and inner resources to build islands of coherence and sanity in their lives and schools.
This space is a rallying point for inspiration and information to this end.
Islands of Sanity

Islands of sanity can become cells of revolution; a revolution undoing destructive dynamics, policies, and behaviors.
Some examples of islands of sanity:
